Returns Policy
Standard Returns:
Except for the items listed in the "Final Sale & Nonreturnable Items" section below, you can return unused, regularly stocked items within 30 days of the invoice date by getting in touch with our customer service team. A representative will help you initiate a return and provide further instructions. Please note that a 25 percent restocking fee will be deducted from your refund, and you are responsible for arranging a shipping agent for the return, along with covering the associated shipping fees. To begin the return process, please contact us. All returned items must be in new, unused condition and in their original packaging.
Other Types of Returns:
Please be aware that "special order items," such as custom-made products and most furniture, cannot be returned. If an item is shipped directly from a manufacturer to you, you'll need a return authorization from that manufacturer, and our customer service team can assist you in obtaining one. Contact us at +1(917) 930-5369 or admin@kitchenstocks.com.
Final Sale & Nonreturnable Items:
The following items cannot be returned:
- Used equipment and supplies
- Special order items (these are indicated on our product pages)
- Closeout items
- Perishable and consumable items, including food and disposable items like lids, plates, and cups
- Products sold in aerosol cans
- Products containing flammable liquid
- Hazmat products
- Furniture
- Items shipped to U.S. territories and areas outside the United States
- Items shipped outside of the contiguous United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, and all U.S. territories
Fees:
- Restocking Fees:
To cover the costs associated with processing returns, we apply a 25 percent restocking fee to all returned items, helping us maintain competitive pricing.
- Additional Restocking Fees:
In some cases, there may be additional shipping and handling fees during the return process. Please note that "Free Shipping" applies only to the initial shipment from KitchenStocks to you and does not cover returns. These additional fees will be subtracted from your refund.
Defective Merchandise:
If you receive a defective item, you will need to file a warranty claim. For details on warranties and the claims process, please reach out to us.
Missing or Damaged Items:
Claims of missing items in a shipment or damage during transit must be reported within five business days of receiving the merchandise. We recommend inspecting your items upon arrival, checking them against the packing label on the box.
Order Cancellation:
- Open Order: If your order is still in our system, contact our customer service team to cancel it. There will be no shipping or restocking fees.
- Shipped Order: If your order has already been shipped, you can either refuse the shipment upon delivery or accept it and start the return authorization process through our returns procedure. Refusing a shipment may result in restocking fees and return shipping costs.
- Received Order: If you have received your purchased item(s), you should contact our customer service team to initiate a return. You will receive a return authorization number and shipping instructions.
Shipping Policy
We are dedicated to efficiently delivering the products you require to your doorstep, striving to keep shipping times and costs at a minimum. The estimated shipping time and cost displayed on our website are generally accurate, but there may be variations in actual shipping costs. If the difference exceeds 15 percent, we will contact you via phone and/or email to obtain your approval before processing your order.
Shipping Addresses:
To optimize shipping costs and provide top-notch service, please consider the following when checking out online:
Ensure that your shipping address is accurate.
For business addresses (excluding residential locations), specify the business name to aid the carrier in identifying the correct destination.
PO Boxes should not be used as shipping addresses, as freight carriers do not deliver to them.
Businesses operated from residences will be treated as residential addresses and subject to corresponding delivery charges.
Provide a valid phone number when placing an online order to facilitate communication regarding your shipment. Carriers often call in advance to confirm the availability of someone to receive the delivery.
Multiple Items:
We dispatch your order as items become available, so you might receive multiple shipments. The full shipping charge will only be applied to the first shipment, and you won't see shipping charges on subsequent shipment notifications.
Shipping Partners:
The majority of our products are shipped through our shipping partners. If you have a preferred carrier, we can arrange to use your account. For larger items exceeding weight and dimension limits for standard shipping (up to 150 pounds and up to 108 inches in length), we utilize freight carriers. If you require a specific delivery date or time for an LTL freight shipment, please contact one of our sales agents for a quote.
Expedited Shipping Options:
We offer expedited shipping options for many of our products. However, items shipped via freight carriers require a custom quote. For more information on expedited freight shipments, call us at +1(917) 930-5369. Availability of these options depends on product availability and will only appear in your cart if they are available at the time of purchase.
- Ground: Delivers within 1 to 5 business days in all 50 states, including Puerto Rico.
- 3 Day: Arrives within 3 business days within the 48 contiguous states.
- 2 Day Air: Delivers within 2 business days to all 50 states, with some exceptions for Alaska and Hawaii.
- 1 Day Air: Delivers within 1 business day to all 50 states and Puerto Rico, with some limitations depending on the delivery address.
Delivery Options:
Our system automatically determines whether your address is categorized as a commercial or non-commercial (residential) area.
Non-commercial Address: This includes houses, apartments, and similar living spaces, even if business operations occur there. Schools and churches are considered non-commercial by shipping companies.
Commercial Address: Freight carriers define commercial addresses as commercial or industrial sites with tractor-trailer access or an open loading dock during standard business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). If your item(s) are shipped via freight carrier, the carrier will generally reach out to you to arrange delivery.
Free Shipping:
We provide free shipping for numerous restaurant equipment and kitchen supply items as part of our commitment to delivering great value. These aren't limited-time offers but a permanent feature, saving you substantial amounts on significant foodservice purchases. Products eligible for free shipping are marked with a green "free shipping" indicator on our product pages.
Free standard ground shipping may apply only to orders shipped to the 48 contiguous United States. Customers shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or any island off the coast may need to contact customer service for a shipping quote before their order can be processed.
Please note that free shipping does not encompass upgraded services like expedited shipping, inside delivery, white glove delivery, or lift-gate assistance. Additional fees may apply for remote or hard-to-reach locations, and customers will be informed if such fees are applicable.
Freight Receiving Procedures:
When an item exceeds standard weight limits, we utilize freight carriers. Follow the freight shipment procedures closely when your delivery arrives to ensure a smooth process.
Inspecting Your Freight Delivery:
Before the delivery driver departs, follow these steps. Keep in mind that once the driver leaves, you become responsible for reporting any damages to the freight company, as KitchenStocks Restaurant Supply cannot be held liable for damages thereafter.
- Verify that the items delivered match your order. Unpack everything but retain all original packaging materials. Do not discard pallets or boxes until you are certain of your satisfaction.
- Inspect the shipment for any signs of damage or missing items. Check for the integrity of the shrink-wrap; if it's damaged, note it on the delivery receipt. Ensure the number of cartons on the Bill of Lading matches the number of boxes received.
- Examine each carton for signs of damage such as dirty boxes, dents, dings, creases, holes, punctures, and broken pallets. If you notice any of these signs, document them on the delivery receipt and request that the driver open the box. If the driver refuses, you can either contact our Customer Service or refuse the box, noting it on the delivery receipt.
- Even if the boxes appear undamaged, write "subject to inspection" next to your signature. You have five days after the driver's departure to report damaged or missing items. - Inspect the entire equipment thoroughly, both visibly and for concealed damage. Report any concealed damage and request an inspection within three business days.
- While the driver is still present, make a note of any damage you observe and take pictures if possible. Inspect the products as they are delivered and record any potential damage on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading.
- You have three options:
- If there is no damage, accept the shipment and sign off.
- If there is slight damage, list all observed damage on the acceptance form. If you do not wish to keep the damaged product, it is best to refuse it and contact our Customer Care Team immediately in case the carrier does not engage in a freight claim. Mark the freight bill as "Refused." If you decide to keep the shipment, ensure you note the damage on the bill you sign. If the driver uses an electronic device (PDA), make sure they note something on paper that they will sign before leaving.
- If the item you ordered is significantly damaged, refuse the shipment, make a note of the damage, and take photos. Contact us as soon as possible to begin the return process.
If you encounter freight damage, please call us at +1(917) 930-5369. Have your order number, shipping details, and any available tracking numbers on hand to expedite assistance.
Liftgate Service:
When shipping items via freight carrier, especially when they are large and heavy, you'll be prompted to choose the liftgate service during the checkout process. This service is essential for both commercial and non-commercial addresses that lack a loading dock or tractor-trailer access. The liftgate ensures the safe unloading of items exceeding 75 pounds from the truck to ground level. Once the item is on the ground, it becomes your responsibility to transport it inside. If you require inside delivery or white glove services, feel free to reach out to our sales team before your items are delivered to request a cost estimate.
If you decide not to opt for the liftgate service at the time of checkout, please take note of the following:
The liftgate service does not encompass moving items into your building.
Adding liftgate, white glove, or inside delivery services to your order after it has been placed may result in increased fees.
The driver will NOT be available to assist with unloading your shipment. It is entirely your responsibility to efficiently and safely remove your shipment from the truck.
Furniture Shipments:
Please be aware that specific furniture material and color options may entail extended lead times. Most furniture orders are customized, and these backorders generally fall within the range of 4 to 12 weeks, though they may occasionally exceed this timeframe. We make every effort to offer a reliable estimate for shipping but recommend that you place your furniture order well in advance of your anticipated need. For further details on ordering furniture from KitchenStocks, kindly refer to the Furniture Policy provided below.
International Shipping:
While most items are shipped internationally through our ground shipping partner, large, heavy, or bulky items will be transported via freight carriers. Direct freight shipping outside of the United States is not possible; however, we can ship to a location within the United States that serves as an international freight forwarder for the final delivery.
You are responsible for locating and contracting your own freight forwarder.
Once your shipment arrives at the forwarder's location, they assume responsibility for the onward delivery.
It is your responsibility to arrange for delivery and payment with the freight forwarder.
For additional information on international shipping, please refer to the International Policy provided below.
Parts Policy
We appreciate your part request in advance. Prior to sending your inquiry, please take note of the following:
- Parts and specially ordered items are non-returnable.
- We do not provide refunds for any ordered parts.
- Parts may experience extended lead times exceeding 14 business days based on availability.
To maintain our competitive pricing, we relay the manufacturers' terms and conditions to customers, which include shipping costs for parts orders. If you agree to these terms and conditions, kindly complete the parts request form. Upon receiving your request, we will contact you via email to request further information.
Furniture Policy
Prior to initiating a furniture order with KitchenStocks, kindly review the subsequent terms, and subsequently, sign and return the form to signify your agreement:
- We do not accommodate returns or exchanges for ANY furniture order, under ANY circumstances.
- Each piece of restaurant furniture is tailored to your specific requirements, encompassing aspects such as colors, materials, and size. If you aim to match existing colors or finish materials, we strongly recommend requesting a sample before confirming your order, as variations may occur due to disparities in computer screen displays.
- Once an order is placed with the manufacturer, you assume responsibility for the expenses associated with the furniture, any additional accessories, shipping, and other costs as outlined in your quotation. To maintain the most competitive pricing in the market for all our customers, we transfer the manufacturer's terms and conditions, which encompass any shipping costs, to customers for special order items.
Please endorse, date, and return the aforementioned form to express your acknowledgment of these terms and conditions pertaining to furniture purchases with KitchenStocks. You can forward the form to us via email at admin@kitchenstocks.com. Please note that we cannot proceed with your furniture order until we receive the signed document.
International Orders
We provide restaurant equipment and supplies to customers worldwide, including Canada, Puerto Rico, Australia, Europe, and various other countries. Orders placed from these locations are subject to the following terms:
Electrical Considerations
Due to variations in electrical systems across different countries, equipment designed for use in the United States may not be compatible elsewhere. Customers are responsible for selecting items with the correct voltage and frequency (Hertz) suitable for their country.
For instance, many countries operate on a 50 Hertz frequency, unlike the standard 60 Hertz in the U.S. We are willing to consult with the manufacturer upon request to confirm whether a product can be adapted to the desired voltage and Hertz.
Please be aware that we are not authorized to distribute certain specific brands outside of the U.S. and Canada, and we will provide you with precise information regarding this during the ordering process.
Shipping Arrangements
For freight shipments beyond the contiguous 48 United States, a freight forwarder (broker) is essential. It is the responsibility of the customer to identify and engage their own services for this purpose. For further details regarding shipments outside the United States and Canada, please refer to our International Shipping Policy or contact us at +1(917) 930-5369.
Payment Methods
We can only accept credit card payments for orders under $400 from customers with billing addresses in the U.S. and Canada. To prevent fraud, we may require specific documentation for card verification, the details of which will be communicated to customers on a per-order basis. We also accept wire transfers and U.S. money orders as alternative payment methods; however, all transactions conducted with KaTom Restaurant Supply will be in U.S. dollars.
Taxes and Duties
When placing an order outside of the United States, you may be obligated to pay additional taxes and duties in your country. Please note that KitchenStocks bears no responsibility for these charges, and we are unable to estimate their precise amount, as they vary from country to country. Failure to settle these fees will result in non-delivery of the product.
- Duties: Duties represent a type of tax collected by your country's customs office, and the fee is subject to variation from one country to another. This fee is payable upon delivery, and KitchenStocks cannot accept payment for it or provide an estimate to the customer.
- Customs Broker: You may consider engaging a customs broker to facilitate the movement of goods from KitchenStocks to your location. A customs broker acts as an intermediary between the buyer and seller of goods in two different countries.
International Product Warranties
All product warranties are determined by the manufacturer. It is possible that warranties for products sold outside of the United States and Canada may be rendered void. It is your responsibility to comprehend the warranty terms associated with your product and ensure they align with your needs prior to making a purchase.
International Order Tracking
Orders shipped via UPS will be trackable. However, orders dispatched through a freight carrier will only have tracking information available up to the point when the order is delivered to your designated freight forwarder.
International Returns
For any returns originating from outside of the United States, please get in touch with our customer service team at +1(917) 930-5369.
International Order Inquiries
If you have inquiries or require clarification regarding our international order policies, please reach out to us via email at admin@kitchenstocks.com or by phone at +1(917) 930-5369.

Sales Tax:
Laws governing the collection of sales tax can vary by location and are subject to frequent changes in content and interpretation by governmental agencies. KitchenStocks, along with its parent companies and/or subsidiaries, consistently makes every effort to fully comply with the law and governmental regulations. It's our understanding that customers, whether individuals or businesses, are responsible for reporting purchases that are shipped across state lines and paying any applicable state and local sales taxes in accordance with their respective laws and regulations. KitchenStocks is registered in and conducts its business within the state of Tennessee, and thus collects sales tax for orders billed or shipped within the state of Tennessee. Organizations with valid sales tax exemptions may request exemption status for sales tax collection by contacting customer service and providing the required documentation. Sales tax regulations apply to all businesses and individuals within the United States. Online businesses advertising "No Sales Tax" may not have a comprehensive understanding of sales tax laws, or they may unintentionally mislead their customers.
For certain products shipped directly from the manufacturer to the customer through KitchenStocks, certain manufacturers may require sales tax collection for products shipped directly to the customer in specific states.
KitchenStocks does not establish tax law or set sales tax collection requirements for our suppliers. Invoices automatically generated by KitchenStocks will display sales tax for orders shipping to Tennessee but will not display sales tax for orders shipping outside of Tennessee unless required. KitchenStocks collects taxes for all orders shipping to Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. KitchenStocks reserves the right to collect sales tax for orders shipped to other states not currently listed without prior notice.
